Text introduction:
Functional structure: Integrated circuits, also known as IC, can be divided into

analog integrated circuits, digital integrated circuits and digital / analog

hybrid integrated circuits according to their functions and structures.
Analog integrated circuits, also called linear circuits, are used to generate,

amplify and process various analog signals ( signals whose amplitude varies with

time ). e.g., audio signals of transistor radio, tape signals of video

recorders, etc. ) whose input signals are proportional to the output signals.

The digital integrated circuit is used to generate, amplify and process various

digital signals ( signals that are discretely valued in time and amplitude ).

e.g. 3G mobile phones, digital cameras, computer CPU, logical control of digital

TV and reproduced audio and video signals ).
